1:30 PM - Debbie meets with the President of American Heritage School, Blane Hunsaker, to discuss Elizabeth Clark, a mother of some of her students she had taught at the school.  Her husband has been unfaithful and abused her.  He is now trying to take the children from her in a divorce.

Debbie and I are studying D&C sections 10 and 11 this week in Come Follow Me.

1 Ne 1:1-9, 17 Nephi bridges the records of his father Lehi                          1 Ne 6: 3; 1 Ne 10:1    Nephi starts his record                                                 2 Ne 4:14 and Mosiah 1:3,  Large plates of Nephi                                         2 Ne 5:27-30, 32                                                                                         Words of Mormon are inserted and he adds after he has abridged the large plates of Nephi.  He finds a small book that Nephi had abridged of his father Lehi and added his words, words from Isiah on the Brass Plates and the words his brother, Jacob, wrote.  This book was included just as Nephi and Jacob had written.  He gave the abridgment of the large plates of Nephi, the small plates that Nephi and Jacob made to Moroni.  Moroni abridged the book of Ether and added his words.  These gold plates were what Moroni delivered to Joseph Smith with 2/3 of them sealed.

       The large plates of Nephi contain secular things and the small plates contain more sacred things.                                                                                                    Mormon bridges the large plates.  Joseph Smith translates 116 hand written pages (232 pages front and back). Marting Harris loses the copy.  While waiting on Martin Harris to return with the 116 pages, Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery start where the translation had ended with Martin Harris as a scribe.  When Joseph went back to Palmyra and learns the 116 pages of the translation are lost, the gift of translation is taken from him for a short time.
