 31 Mar 2021, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Tasks Daniel Kelly's 19th birthday, I called Danny but got his answering phone and left a message - I also texted him and wished him a happy birthday.  Later in the day I got a nice thank you text from Danny. Max Hobb's 7th birthday Tena Daves' 79th Birthday James' wife, I tried to call to wish Tina a happy birthday but their home phone was off the hook or turned off and the same with their mobile phone.  Ora and I went grocery shopping for the family through Easter Sunday.  When we got home I went and played a round of golf with Dan.  When we got back home we picked Ora and Debbie up and drove to The Preserve at Paradise Cove, 103 Dalton Aubrey Dr., Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.  Brian's Mother is buying a home next to theirs.  When we left we drove to Eden Garden State Park.  29 Mar 2021, Monday Priorit ized Daily Tasks Order book, Beloved Bridegroom by Donna B. Nielsen for Max and Debbie  Debbie downloaded  the audio book, In The Lords Hands, Dallin H. Oaks.  We will listen to it tomorrow while we are driving to Ora and Dan's in FL  Max went with Debbie and me for a walk around the neighborhood this morning. I paid Chase Amazon credit card bill and Tithing for May Max and I work to set up meeting with leader in the nursing home industry in Georgia about arranging a zoom meeting for Matthew with Bill Davis with Crossroads Medical Management and another zoom meeting with Jim Westberry, or Mr. Bennett, attorneys who work with Georgia Nursing Home. Call Savanah Jones with Cedar Hills Senior Living Center 770-748-2284.  She was not in but secretary said she would have her call 2 PM meet on phone with Andy Morris and Dan Guinn about the old Cedartown Nursing Home on Cason Road; Max Kimball set in on the meeting. ...

 28 Mar 2021, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Tasks Debbie and I started our fast last night and are fasting today.  We got ready and attended Fast and Testimony in Cedartown and partook of the sacrament.  I bore my testimony and visited with several old friends.  This afternoon we broke our fast with a nice meal with Max and Debbie.  Debbie Kimball and Debbie McAlpin visited and Max went upstairs and took a nap.  I went for a walk.  I called or they called, talked/face-timed most of the children and some of the grandchildren.  Debbie and I had prayer with Max and Debbie.  My wife and I listened to some of the Lectures on Faith, had prayer together before going to bed.

 27 Mar 2021, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task  confirmation no. HLG2M2. -  Delta Flight 924 departs SLC 9:35 AM.  -   Arrives in Atlanta ATL, 3:12 PM  Max and I drove to CVS and I got a printed copy of Deputy Lee Jacobs changing the tire in KY on I-75 and Max watching.  Max picked up some groceries.  We stopped and checked with girl on duty at Cedar Hills Senior Living (an old school in Cedartown that has been converted to a home for seniors).  They have two building that are being closed down.  All the patients have been transferred except for 11 residents.  The manager is Savannah Jones.  She is not in on the weekends but will be back at work on Monday morning.  The office phone number is 770-748-2284.  The business is owned by investors in New York. I drove to ATL, Atlanta International Airport and picked Debbie up after she had claimed her luggage about 4 PM.  It was good having her with me again....

 26 Mar 2021, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Up at 6 AM, had personal prayer, shower, and shaved.  Max took his turn and we had breakfast provided here at the Americas  Best Value Inn.  We drove down the hill about a mile to "Ark Encounter", an amusement park in Williamston, Kentucky.   The ark is 510 ft. long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, just a little smaller than the Titanic Ocean Liner that sank in April 1912. The amusement park owned by Answers in Genesis, the  CEO is Ken Ham from Australia.  I took some pictures and sent them to some of the family.   Max and I left the park before 11 AM and drove less than 5 miles on I-75 toward Lexington and the left rear tire blew out.  Max and I could not get the lug nuts off the rim.  I almost broke the lug wrench.  I called Liberty Mutual our auto insurance roadside assistance and was getting them to send assistance when Deputy Lee Jacobs of the Grant Count Sheriff's Off...

 25 Mar 2021, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task Beth's 41st Birthday.   (Matthew called and faced-timed me at 12:01 AM this morning, it was officially Beth's birthday.  Rae Lynn and her family were not there but everyone else and friends were at Michael's and Autumn's to celebrate Beth and Michael's birthdays.) Max came in this morning and asks me about going with him up to Kentucky to a replica of Noah's Ark.  He joined me as I had prayer with Debbie when she called.  On the way up to Williamston, KY I talked to Matthew and Michael.  Michael had Beth and some of the children.  Michael told us Gavin was accepted at Berkley.  He is on stand-by at MIT.  He is waiting to hear from other Universities.  We had lunch at Chic-fil-A and dinner at the Cracker Barrel.  Debbie got us a room at the American Best Value Inn and Suites at 10 Skyway Dr., Williamston, Kentucky 41097.  Americas Best Value Inn & Suites, 1 0 Skyway Dr...

 24 Mar 2021, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Tasks Tommy McKinney's birthday - Tried to call Tommy, could not reach him; sent him a text wishing him a happy birthday.  He called me back and we talked for some time about his life in Waco, Haralson County, GA, his mother and my sister, Ora, working together at the black school off Hwy 78 east of Tallapoosa.  His wife, Carol's father, Gerald Scott, is 94 and going to dinner with the family and celebrating Tom's 67th birthday.  Tommy was in school at Haralson County with my brother, Lawrence, and Max's sister, Teresia.  She introduced him to the missionaries and he was baptized.  Max and I have been close to Tommy since he joined the church when he was in high school and served a mission in France.  His parents never joined the Church.  Gerald Scott is the brother of the former Apostle Richard Scott who passed away September 22, 2015.  23 Mar 2021, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Tasks I talk with Debbie in the morning and evenings and we have prayer together I went with Max to deliver a card with a nice note inside from him and Debbie and a box of candy to the daughter of Max's personal financial advisor that lives in Cedartown, GA.  She stood up in class, saluted, and said the pledge of allegiance as the flag was in the classroom.  Many of the students in her middle school jeered, booed, and made fun of her.  1 PM - Dan Guinn brought lunch over to the house for Max, Debbie and me.  We had a good meeting.  Dan is interested in leasing the old Cason Road Cedartown Nursing Home Building when it is vacated.  His idea is to continue to use the building to care for the old, sick, and or needy.  He wants the number of rooms, bathrooms, the cost of property tax, and earthquake insurance.  I got all of the information from Andy Morris except for the cost of insurance.  The i...

 22 Mar 2021, Monday Priorit ized Daily Tasks Abby Hobb's 14th birthday - I called and wished her a happy birthday Max, Debbie, and family return from Blairsville, GA  9 AM Walked and jogged around Max and Debbie's neighborhood for about 30 minutes Talked to Jessie Thompson, Forester, who is taking care of 57 acres of timber of mine and Ora's - having lunch with him on Wednesday in Rockmart I called and talked to Marc Wall.  He is not up for company but is doing much better and thinks he will be able to go back to work some at the office in April.  He is working from home as an expert witness for the court.  He has attorneys or clients in Atlanta and Tallahassee.  Prayer with Debbie back home I called and canceled my American Express cards, 3723-771017-27002, and the other ending 27008.  I spoke with Lisa and she canceled them today.  One of these cards Matthew has been using in his business since about 2010.  He has another card he is u...

 20 Mar 2021, Saturday Prioritized Daily Task        Frank Powell lost his arm a few years ago in a hay-bailer.  His wife Evelyn died Jan. 30, 2021 10 AM - meeting at Frank Powell's with Eddie Lovett, his dad, Allen Lovett, and Larry Bul - 1st responsibility for William Alexander and Manah McAlpin family and Old Indian Graveyard is Larry Bell.  For which he gets the use of my Allis Chalmer tractor and chain saw.  He uses Frank Powell's, his mother-in-law's husband, bush-hog that attaches to the tractor.  In return, I give him the same privilege I have extended to Frank Powell over the years, the use of the fields around Pleasant Hill Church and the field across the road from the home I grew up in.  When Larry is no longer able or wants to use the land for raising hay for sale as did Frank, he and Frank Powell agree to turn the tractor, bush-hog and chain saw over to the Lovetts with the Hunting Club who have been leasing the farmlan...

19 Mar 2021, Friday Prioritized Daily Task  Michael McAlpin's 45th Birthday - text and call  Deposit check from Debbie in Region's bank checking account; visited with Maria Maythe Wilson, Branch Manage at Turner McCall and 5th Ave in Rome, GA.  I found out that Regions and Synovis are two different bank groups. 12 Noon - meet Andy Morris at O'Charles for lunch in Rome.  He downloaded a video of a virtual tour of the new nursing home in Rockmart. Took Elder Hegawald and his companion, Elder Jensen, to lunch to lunch at Chic-fil-A  (elders' mission phone 678-517-2749, for a late lunch.  Called and talked to Shawn Smith.  I made an appointment to have lunch with him and his wife, April, next Monday when he gets off work. Check on old friends in Rome, Harvy Chapman - He did not answer his phone but texted me the phone number for Elder Ben Hegawald. 3 PM - Rockmart nursing home - Mike Lee the maintenance man gave me a tour.  I met Wisdom who works...

 18 Mar 2021, Thursday Prioritized Daily Task   Cook breakfast for everyone here at Jone's I paid Revere Health balance of $30 on my account, phone  (888) 661‑0906 On the way to Alabama, I pulled off the I-20 and had prayer with Debbie 10 AM - Visit Roy and Elain Bryant who lives at 120 Anthony Dr. Anniston, AL;  We went to the park to walk, jog and exercise, afterwards we drove over to the cemetery where Roy's parents, Aunt Lena and Uncle Walter and Roy's brother Jerry who was born in 1938 and died 1995 are buried.  We came home and I showered and took a nap or rested. We tried to call Mike McAlpin, Garland and Betty's oldest son but had to leave a message, he did not answer.  Mike has had one toe taken off because of diabetes and last week had another toe on his other foot taken off.   I sent pictures I took today to Ora, Dan and Elain.                           ...

 17 Mar 2021, Wednesday Prioritized Daily Task  Breakfast with Doug and Becca Yancey - Because of Doug's interest in the Old South Bend Cemetery getting it cleared and his dad's cousin's grave being moved from the deceased's uncle down one row to be next to his own parents, not Doug's dad's parents.  It was he who charged Doug to get his cousin's body and casket move so he could be buried next to his parents and grandparents.  Doug got in touch with his cousin's family and there was no objection.  The Atlanta Journal Newspaper wrote a story about it and how Doug had got the old cemetery cleaned off.  He got support from the full-time missionaries, the community, and the school that owns the land around The Old South Bend Cemetery.  The church no longer exists and no one has been keeping it up; the county and city deeded to the cemetery to Doug Yancey.                            ...
