Prioritized Daily Tasks

Tommy McKinney's birthday - Tried to call Tommy, could not reach him; sent him a text wishing him a happy birthday.  He called me back and we talked for some time about his life in Waco, Haralson County, GA, his mother and my sister, Ora, working together at the black school off Hwy 78 east of Tallapoosa.  His wife, Carol's father, Gerald Scott, is 94 and going to dinner with the family and celebrating Tom's 67th birthday.  Tommy was in school at Haralson County with my brother, Lawrence, and Max's sister, Teresia.  She introduced him to the missionaries and he was baptized.  Max and I have been close to Tommy since he joined the church when he was in high school and served a mission in France.  His parents never joined the Church.  Gerald Scott is the brother of the former Apostle Richard Scott who passed away September 22, 2015.

Sent Dan Guinn a text with a couple of questions about the Final Report, US Dept of Health and human services Assistant Secretary of planning and evaluation Office of Disability, Aging and Long-term Care Policy (I copied Max and blind copied Michael and Matthew).  Later in the afternoon we got together and reviewed the tax data I sent him for incomes and expenses for 2020 federal and state taxes.

12 Noon - I met Jesse Thompson, age 52, born, 1968 in San Diago, Forester Consultant, at the Avenue Restaurant in Cedartown near the high school and had lunch with him.  In the next two years, the timber/pulpwood on the 50+ acres Ora and I own together will be thinned for the last time, sprayed to kill the undergrowth, and then do a control burn.

5:30 PM - the face-time meeting with Peggy Holmes that Max Kimball and I had set up fell through.  She did not feel up to it today.  Dell said she did not sleep last night.

Max and I went for a walk and jog around his neighborhood.

Michael and Autumn are hosting a 41st birthday for Beth this evening.  Matthew, Melodie, Madeline, Bella, and Ava are coming up.  Madeline's collarbone is still healing for another 5 weeks or more before she gets her arm out of the sling.  Matthew face-timed me so I could watch opening presents after midnight so it was officially March 25th in Georgia and wished Beth a Happy Birthday as well as Michael.  They, Beth and Michael, opened presents.  The children were all excited and happy.  Debbie and I had prayer earlier.  We tried to get one of the Come Follow Me podcast up to listen to but could not get the internet to connect.
