Matthew's appointment with the specialist from the Mammogram and MRI was taken yesterday. He called me while I was hiking on the "Y" Mountain in Provo. The mass in his chest is caused by the growth in the *Pituitary Gland located in the brain. It is about the size of a pea and the doctors do not think it is malignant. They are going to treat it with medication starting in two weeks. They think it can be controlled or even reduced. This took a lot of stress and anxiety off him. I told him I would suggest the first thing he and Melody do is think the Lord for blessing you so wonderfully.
I climbed up the "Y" three-time today. My Fitbit recorded that I walked 10.5 miles in 6 hours. I think it was more like 6.6 miles. Just as I got home Richard Clark called and said his foot is much better and wants to hike Mt. Timpanogos tomorrow. He is not spending the night but will come over in the morning at 7 AM. We will eat breakfast and drive down to the trailhead in Aspen Grove.
Matthew flies to Colorado for a business meeting with Dr. Brent Kimball
This afternoon two men arrived with Jalna's Pool Table from Shelly, Idaho. They spent the afternoon and evening setting it up.
*The pituitary gland is a small, bean-shaped gland situated at the base of your brain, somewhat behind your nose and between your ears. Despite its small size, the gland influences nearly every part of your body. The hormones it produces help regulate important functions, such as growth,
blood pressure and reproduction.
