Note from Church on Sunday:  Brother Sharpe, son of President Sharpe our Tennessee Chattanooga Stake President when we lived in Rome, GA.  There was a family that had a 5-year-old daughter and a 19-year-old son.  The little girl loved and adored her brother.    Each day the family would have family prayer and plead with the Lord to turn the son back to Him, that he would humble himself, and do the things that are right, the things he has been taught at home and in the Church.  No matter how hard and long they prayed the son did not change.                                                           One day when it was the young girl's turn to pray, she said, "No, I am not going to.  The Lord does not hear our prayers or he does not care."  The family was shocked, there was total silence.  No one knew what to say; finally, the dad asks her, seeming to be changing the subject if she had hung her bookbag up when she came home from school?  She looked over her shoulder at the front door; her book bag was on the floor where she had thrown it when she came home.  She said, "No, I forgot."  Her father asks, "How many times have we told you to hang your bookbag up?"  She said, "I'm sorry."                                                                                                Her dad told her, "Your mother and I know you are young but as you mature and grow you will remember, and hang your bookbag up.  We give you your agency to choose; it is the same with your brother and Heavenly Father.  As your mother and I do not force you, our Heavenly Father does not force your brother.  We believe as he grows older and matures he will hear, remember, and return to the Lord and do the things he knows to be right."

It is raining hard this morning.  Max and I had breakfast together and when the rain slacked off Max walked across the street to the Atlanta Temple.

I texted Debbie to see if she was up.  She called back, we talked and had prayer together.

Max got home from the temple before I left.  We talked and he helped me take my bags to the car.

2:45 PM I drove over to David's at
