Find a can or something from Lowes to spread the salt in the graveyard. I purchased an electric spreader from Home Depot. I stopped and visited with Brother Dan Lester. He fell and is using a walking cane to get around since he fell on the carport. I had a good visit and asked him to call Max Kimball if I am not back from the farm in Tallapoosa by dark. I drove to Pleasant Hill and parked the car at Debra Husley Casey. I put a sling around my neck and took a 40-pound bag of salt in each hand. I carried them about 1/2 to the William Alexander and Manah McAlpin, Old Indian Graveyard. I walked 1,330 steps and one of the handholds on one of the salt bags broke. I then carried each bag separately 214 steps. The electric spreader has batteries and they lasted until I had spread most of the 80 pounds of salt inside the graveyard, approx. 1/4 acre. I walked back to the car carrying the plastic salt bags and about a pint or quart of salt left which I spread on the inside of the rock wall where the 3 McAlpins are buried. I left the electric spreader at the hunting club's cabin on the table next to their stove. I have blisters on my hands from carrying the two 40-pound salt bags earlier. I washed the salt off my boots and paints.
Call Marc Wall to get the lunch order for Thursday. He is placing the order at Domino's Pizza next door to his office for his staff, himself, Max and me on Thursday. I called and talked to Dan Lester and let him know I was finished working and safe; not to worry about making any phone calls for me. I stopped to see Frank Powell but he was not home. I went by the Cason Road Health Care facility. Someone had left the door open and the alarm was going off. I closed the door and also the door to the freezer in the kitchen. When I talked to Dan Guinn, his mother's 83 year old sister who has dementia walk-off Saturday evening. Over 300 people, police rescue and searching dogs have not been able to find her. Dan asks we keep the family in our prayers.
Debbie gets back from Idaho and is spending a few days with some of the grandchildren at the Timber Lakes cabin in Heber
Doug Yancy, a young single adult who has been a friend of mine since 1966, sent me pictures of his mother's 100th birthday party last week.
