Prioritized Daily Task

7:30 AM - Gracey called and we wished her a happy 14th birthday again

8:00 AM - breakfast at Centar Sarajevo, Apart Hotel 

10:00 AM - visit Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pyramids outside Visoko about 15 miles northwest of Sarajevo.  Smithsonian Magazine did an article on the pyramids. Over 400,000 people have visited the sites since October 2005, when Sam Osmanagich announced his discovery.  There is much controversy surrounding the pyramids.  I took pictures and have no opinion.  I did purchase some of their water from the underground canals, a book he wrote, The Mystery of the Anasazi Civilization, and a round stone I will use to exercise my left hand I broke.  

We came back to our hotel in Sarajevo and had the hotel drive to take us to the Old Town of Sarajevo.  We took some pictures; one was of Ciro, a midget, begging on the streets.  He played in the movie, "Home For Hanging",) a 1988 Serbian coming-of-age fantasy crime drama film by director Emir Kusturica.  It has been watched by billions of people around the world including people from China.  We had cevapi, beef 80%, and lamb 20% sausage,  for lunch at Cevabdzinica Petrica.  At one time it was the home of Cevabdzinica Petrica, a world-famous Muslim soccer player. 

6:30 PM in the evening Ljubica, Debbie, and I drove over to Elder ___ and Sister ___ Johnson's from Winder, Idaho, serving in the ANM.  They were in Novi Sad for about 8 months.  Sister Johnson cooked dinner for us.  

Latin Bridge over Miljacka River where Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, heir presumptive to the Austro-Hungarian throne, and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were assassinated on 28 June 1914 by Bosnian Serb student Gavrilo Princip, shot at close range while being driven through Sarajevo, the provincial capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, formally annexed by Austria-Hungary in 1908.
