Prioritized Daily Task
Pibcoa - 10 AM and 2 PM, Debbie's appointments
The battery came for the hand vacuum today and I put it in the vacuum. It is being charged.
Talked to Ora and Dan today. Matthew is face-timing them later this afternoon with Madeline, Bella, and Ava.
I lost all my plans I had recorded in my Google calendar for Debbie and our trip to the South next month and April. I had to re-do it. I made some changes to what I think will be better time spent.
Cooper and Aspen are coming down from Twin Falls. Tanner, Samantha's boyfriend, is taking them to the airport tomorrow. They are going to visit with Ashten's parents.
We got an email from Sister Alexandra "Alex" McAlpin forwarded from her mother, Autumn. "Seeking the light is in our spiritual DNA...
I was invited to attend an executive program at the University of Michigan. During the program, Professor Kim Cameron taught the concept of positive leadership and its heliotropic effect. He explained: “This refers to the tendency in all living systems toward positive energy [light] and away from negative energy [darkness]. From single-cell organisms to complex human systems, everything alive has an inherent inclination toward the positive and away from the negative.”'
I think it's interesting how so many things in this world parallel spiritual lessons. This one with light may be a bit obvious, but we grow greater, as plants do, from that which brings light and happiness and hope (faith, education, love, real and genuine conversations with people), avoiding all the negativity or darkness that comes from all kinds of things that can trap us (politics, social media on many occasions, other addictions)
Another parallel, as more diverse things are exposed to us, our immunity builds up and we become stronger. As we learn more about other people and surrounded by diversity, we learn to care more and love more as God who knows and created all, loves us all.
I talked to my sister, Ora Truitt, today. I ask her to send me a copy of part of an email she sent to a friend of hers in Cummings, Georgia. And He is indeed the miracle worker. He gives us the big miracles as well as the every day ones. I reinjured my back on December 1 and have been confined to the upstairs ever since. For the last month I’ve had to sit upright in my chair to sleep. Throughout this time He has been so near to me ministering to me so tenderly and faithfully through others. (Dan Truitt is a saint Dan is her husband.
Debbie and I took Cooper, Jody and Tony Traveller's son, and his girlfriend, Aspen to dinner at Cafe Rio. We got home and Cooper helped me connect the speaker soundboard to the TV in the living room. Tanner and Samantha came over and took Cooper and Aspen to Sam's home to leave Cooper's car parked until he and Aspen get back Monday morning from visiting Aspen's parents and brothers in Colorado about 30 minutes from Elizabeth, CO where Sister Alexandra McAlpin and her companion are serving. Tanner and Sam brought Cooper and Aspen back home where they spent the night with us.
