Some words of wisdom: “Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.” ROY T. BENNETT

Don Hatch did Elain, my sister, kitchen at her cabin in Timber Lakes. He sold his cabinet business and retired. He has moved to Idaho to help his son or daughter to help take care of his grandchild who was born with a lot of medical problems. The person he sold his business to is far from being as compliant a carpenter as Don was. Don took the driftwood log Elain got from one of the movie studios set in Hollywood. Mr. Hatch sawed the driftwood tree which was close to 1,000 years old and been buried in a swamp for centuries, into 4-inch planks. He pieced it together and made a 90-degree curve with no visible seams. He put coat after coat of poly-lacker so it has a hard mirror finish. He is no longer available to repair the new table and benches in our cabin and the main reason we wanted him was to repair the 22-foot shuffleboard table that has been treated roughly by children and grandchildren for years. It is very similar to a 22' Grand Champion Limited Edition Shuffleboard Table on sale for $7,295.00.
Debbie and I listened to a Come Follow Me lesson from D&C 20-22. Follow Him radio and TV weekly program, hosts are Hank Smith and John Bytheway. This week they had a special guest, Dr. Jordan Walkins, a Ph.D. in history. I made a few notes: B.H. Roberts, Gale Pole - If Heavenly Father had a favorite scripture, it would be one that we all hear often and the prayer would be offered when kneeling. We need to stop and really listen to the Sacrament prayer on the bread and the water. (two parts) Christ suffered in Gethsemane and died on Calvery. Steven Covey 1970s wrote regarding Moses 1:39 "For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." There are two things here, one is immortality and the second is eternal life. Christ first overcame physical death, so we will all receive immortality. Second Christ made it possible on condition for us to have eternal life.
In 1830 the Church was run by young single adults.
Debbie and I started watching the movie, How Rare a Possession - The Book of Mormon. The movie tells of the conversion of Parley P. Pratt and Vincenzo Di Francesca of Sicily who was born 23rd September 1888, in Italy. He found a copy of the Book of Mormon in New York in February 1910 but the name on the cover had been worn off and the title page was gone. It was not until May 1930, 20 years after he had first found the book, that he learned the name of the book with had gone by "the book with no name". It was the Book of Mormon. Because of wars, it was not until 18th January 1951 that he was able to be baptized by the Swiss-Austrian Mission President, Samuel E. Bringhurst in the sea at Sicily. In less than a year after the Swiss Temple was dedicated, Vincenzo Di Francesca received his endowments in the temple. He died on 18th November 1966 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy.
