Prioritized Daily Tasks

I was up at 6:30 AM and cooked oatmeal for breakfast.  I had prayer; Debbie showered and got ready for the day.  The children started getting up about 7:15 AM.  They have pray and read scriptures this year in the D&C during breakfast and before school.

I went with Brett to work and brought his pickup truck back home.  A friend is taking him at noon to get a rental car to drive to L.A.  Debbie went with Rae Lynn to take Luke, Owen and Brody to school to learn the route and location for Weston's speech testing on Thursday.  Ethan has zoom classes on line for school today.  Weston is staying home with Ethan.  When I got home Rae Lynn went to her doctor's appointment.  Debbie went grocery shopping while I stayed home with Ethan and Weston.  Rae Lynn picked Luke, Owen and Brody up from school on her way home.   Brett got home with the rental car and picked Rae Lynn up.  They told the children goodbye.

Ethan has school by zooming starting at 8 AM.

Luke, Owen, and Brody got to school from 8:10 AM to 10:50 AM

Brody does 4 to 5 pages a day in math and reading (let him do it but stay with him)

12 noon to 1 PM Weston goes down for his afternoon nap for an hour or so

2:00 PM Brett rented a car and he and Rae Lynn are departing Clovis.  They are picking another administrator up and meeting his wife in Los Angeles where they are catching a flight to Jamacia about midnight.  They will return on May 4th flying into the Fresno Airport.

We take Ethan to tennis at Alta Sierra at 2:30 Jan bring him home at 4:30 PM

Luke has basketball from 3:15 to 4:15 PM. Take him and the neighbor boys at 3 PM to Dry Creek School (Pick up Big Brody and bring him home with us.

Brody has baseball at 3:15.  Emily will pick him up and bring him home

Owen has Agility at 5 PM.  We take Big Brody Stout.  Jen will bring Owen home.

Brody has a baseball game from 5:30 to 7 PM at Mt. View Elementary School.  I went and watched him play.  It started getting cold when the sun started to go down.  The boys were cold but did not complain; they were having fun.

Weston goes to bed between 8 and 8:30 PM.  I could not get him to go to sleep.  Ethan took him and kept him in his room while Weston watched TV and Ethan did his homework.

Luke and Owen took the garbage out to the street this evening.

Owen and Brody are in bed at 8:30 PM

Ethen and Luke are supposed to be in bed between 9:30 and 10 PM.

I called Larry Bul to see if he received the email I sent him on April 20th.  I sent it to his daughter-in-law's email address, roseanna.marie1995@gmail.com because Lary does not have email.  Eddie Lovett was OK with the arrangement I thought we all agreed on when we met on Saturday, March 20th, at 10 AM at Frank Powell's home.  I sent a copy of what I had written in my journal from that meeting.  Eddie Lovett was OK with the email but Larry Bul had met with Frank and did not agree with keeping the road to the William Alexander and Manah McAlpin/Old Indian Graveyard open and cleared as well as keeping the graveyard clean.  They said the road to the graveyard in the wood is too rough and will break the bush-hog just getting to the graveyard.  They did not think they could do it and also did not think it was fair to give the bush-hog to the Lovetts and Hunting Club because they have not been the ones keeping it repaired.  They also complained the Lovetts have not changed the oil or serviced my tractor that he and Frank have been using to farm and raise hay on my family's farm.  For years Frank has used the McAlpin family land, bottoms and up-land,  to raise hay.  Frank has used the land free of charge but was upset with me when I took the bottoms back and planted trees.   Frank is not in good health and his wife, Evelyn's son-in-law, Larry Bul said he will be retiring from where he is employed in about a year and a half and will retire from farming in 3 years.   I told Larry if that is the case I will plan to plant the land they have been haying in Long Leaf Pine in 2024.  I told Larry I will be back in Georgia next month and will use the chain saw to cut the trees that have fallen in the road to the McAlpin graveyard so I can get in on the tractor and take the bush-hog and clear out some of the thick briars on the way to the graveyard.

We started putting Weston down at 8 PM and it was 2 hours and 51 minutes later before I got him to sleep.  Ethan tried but could not get him to settle down.  He called his mom and dad before they got on the plane in L.A. and they tried to get him to calm down.  Nothing helped, he screamed and kicked; I again held him tight and would not let him get loose.  Debbie tried to read to him but he did not want her to read.  He was very angry and mad but finally gave up and went to sleep a little before 11 PM.
