Alma 10:15 Now these lawyers were learned in all the arts and cunning of the people; and this was to enable them that they might be skilful in their profession.  16 And it came to pass that they began to question Amulek, (a man of God) that thereby they might make him cross his words, or contradict the words which he should speak.

Zeezrom was an ancient American lawyer (one who is expert in the Hebrew Law, or the Law of Moses) who sought to destroy the liberty of the Nephites via his legal practice.

Alma 30: 13 O ye that are bound down under a foolish and a vain hope, why do ye yoke yourselves with such foolish things? (1) Why do ye look for a Christ? For no man can know of anything which is to come.

15 (3) How do ye know of their surety? Behold, ye cannot know of things which ye do not see; therefore ye cannot know that there shall be a Christ.

The war that began in Heaven carries on in this world for the souls of the children of God and it is very real.  The Devil or Satan has only improved on his techniques over the millenniums.  Below, in my opinion, is just an example.

“There are a series of euphemisms deployed by its supporters to describe critical race theory, including ‘equity,’ ‘social justice,’ ‘diversity and inclusion,’ and ‘culturally responsive teaching.’”

“Diversity trainers will make an outrageous claim, such as ‘all whites are intrinsically oppressors’ or ‘white teachers are guilty of spirit murdering black children,’ and then when confronted with disagreement, they adopt a patronizing tone and explain that participants who feel ‘defensiveness’ or ‘anger’ are reacting out of guilt and shame.”

Critical race theorists are “masters of language construction,” who “realize that ‘neo-Marxism’ would be a hard sell. Equity, on the other hand, sounds non-threatening and is easily confused with the American principle of equality.”

“Our Constitutional Republic was founded on the concept of equality,” if you delve into the difference between how progressives use the words equity, versus equality, equity is ‘equal outcomes,’ not ‘equal opportunity.’”

Contention is not of the Lord; He is not the author of contention.  Heavenly Father wants us to have our free agency and Satan wants to take our free agency away.  It is the same as it was in Heaven before we came to this earth.
