Prioritized Daily Tasks

Debbie and I had prayer and listened to Tom Pettit's podcast Beyond Come Follow Me, D&C 60-62.  One of the quotes of Joseph Smith and Ezra Booth.  The brothers had traveled a thousand miles to get to Mosuri the promised land.  They was no clean water and hardly a tree to be seen. This was in 1831, Joseph said this place is a century behind its time.  Ezra Booth said the promised land was a curiosity, but certainly not worth going to Mosuri to see.

8:45 AM - appointment, to get the upstairs carpet stretched.  Eli, a young man from Honduras, came and called to have two others come and help him.  The job was more than he expected

11 AM - Kevin Stedman, Genealogist, appointment at home.  He gave us a book containing the research he did on Alexander McAlpin and two names, John and Robert, to take to the temple and do all work except the sealings.

I receive an invitation from Mark Rockeymore on 23 and Me to communicate with him.  I accepted his invitation and sent him the following email and report from 23 and Me:

 Predicted relationship - Fourth Cousin

You and Mark may share a set of 3rd-great-grandparents. You could also be from different generations (removed cousins) or share only one ancestor (half cousins).

Email message on 23 and Me I sent to Mark Rockeymore

“Mark looking at the pedigree chart, we are distant cousins. Where we connect with a common ancestor, can you tell me who they are? My line goes from me, James Leonard McAlpin, James Olin McAlpin, Robert Alexandra McAlpin, Thomas Jefferson McAlpin, William Alexandra McAlpin and wife, Manah Matilda, father and mother of William Alexandra McAlpin are Alexandra McAlpin and Marry More Haggard McAlpin. I do not know the parents of Manah Matilda but she was Cherokee Indian and maybe some or part black."

Me, Cousin1st, Cousin2nd, Cousin3rd, Cousin4th is Mark

Me and Mark, Parent, Grandparent, Great-Grandparent, 2nd-Great-Grandparent, and 3rd-Great-Grandparents should be the same

Rae Lynn said it was 4.0 but Luke said it is really closer to 3.8.  Ethan received the Pricipal's Honor's Award for keeping a 4.0 grade point average through the 6th and 7th grade.

We got an email from Sister Alexandra "Alex" this week.
