Prioritized Daily Tasks

8 AM - 12 Noon - Michael's graduation from MIT on Zoom

Michael and Beth's graduation celebration

Ryan Hobbs 47th birthday - sent him a text message wishing him a happy birthday

I woke up early this morning and could not go back to sleep.  I sent Andy Morris a text asking for the names and addresses of state elected officials for Polk County and locate newspaper.  There are many individuals and families affected by the delay in opening the new replacement nursing home in Rockmart.  I don't want us to forget social media in letting friends and others know the patients cannot move into the new nursing home facility because of delays by bureaucrats in the state government.  I do not know if I really want to take this course of action or put my trust in the Lord and let Him handle this for us.

Before I went back to bed and slept a little longer, I called and talked to Debbie; we had prayer together.  I read scriptures in D&C 62 and made a note about the promises of the Lord: ....he shall receive this blessing, if he receive it from the hand of the Lord, with a bthankful heart in all things.

These things remain with you to do according to judgment and the directions of the Spirit.

Behold, the akingdom is yours. And behold, and lo, I am bwith the faithful always.

I took the truck to Walmart Supercenter Auto service department and got the oil changed in the pickup truck Melodie's grandfather gave them when he passed away.  The odometer read 113,840 miles.  When I got back home Michael, Autumn, Gavin, Blake and Gracey were there.  Beth came later with Maggie, Andrew, Madeline and Bella.

We all spent the day at the pool and later played games.  Everyone borough food and we ate lunch and dinner.  Michael went with Blake and let him drive Matt's electric Tesla.  I had prayer with the children and most of the grandchildren, some had gone to sleep.

I talked to Elain and will not be going up to see her and the children until Sunday.  Ernie passes away peacefully a little after 11 PM last night.

I had some time to spend talking with Matthew, Melodie, Rae Lynn, Brett and Michael in a family council.  It was about 10:30 PM before Michael took Blake and Gracey and went home.  Brett and Rae Lynn left Owen and Brody here when they left.  Beth left earlier with Tucker, Maggie and Andrew.  Some of the children we sun burned even though they used sun screen today.  Melodie gave the mothers a bottle of aloe vera to put on the sun burns.

Patt and Reg brought gifts for all the grandchildren graduating from lower, elementary, high school and college.  They were all excited and happy.  Patt has always showered the children and grandchildren with gifts.
