Prioritized Daily Tasks
My sister, Elain, called today. She is leaving for L.A. today or tomorrow.
I got an appointment to see Dr. Ryan Richards, Orthopedic Suregon, about my left-hand tomorrow at 2:30 PM.
I received another quote from Umang for repairs on his Honda Fit I rented through Turo when I was back in GA and FL earlier this month and in July. The quote was from Decatur Auto Repair and Body Shop, 301 Dekalb Industrial Blvd. Decatur, GA. phone 404-499-0205, for $1,070.
Tylee came by and later Debbie went to get her neils done.
Debbie and I listened to Jared Halverson's podcast D&C 93.
Adoration is a deep love, and respect for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and a striving to emulate them. To do this we must know them, and to know them is eternal life. "John 17:3" We must pray and ponder. The celestial room in the temple is a place to be still and know God, the work we came to the temple to do, is done. We should not rush out when we have finished the work but linger in prayer and thought. There is so much we can learn if we don't rush. There is symbolism everywhere if we take the time to see it in this life. Christ went down below the lowest to rise above the highest. He was baptized in the Jordon River, the lowest body of fresh flowing water on earth, below sea level. When he had finished His work and while his friends looked on He ascended into heaven.
He was born in a stable, lived in an obscure village, the child of a peasant, never owning a home. He never traveled 200 miles from the place where he was born. He did none of the things that usually accompany greatness. He was only 33 when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. One of them denied him. He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While he was dying, his executioners gambled for his garments, the only property he had on earth. When he was dead, he was laid in a borrowed grave, through the pity of a friend. Over twenty centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race. I am well within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned--put together--have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that one, solitary life.* Yet this is only the beginning of the heights He will attain.
1 Corinthians 3:16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17. If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
The Holy Ghost dwells in our bodies, which is a temple if we allow Him in but the Holy Ghost or God will not dwell in an unclean place.
Mark 5:7. ....and cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: More than just one spirit can possess a body at any given time.
Proof is in the Spectator, no. 111, July 7, 1711, that Joseph Addison was given insight into pre-mortal, mortal, and post-mortal life, immorality of the soul, preputal eternal progress. This mortal life is a nursery for the next life.
