Prioritized Daily Task
7:00 AM - Pick Mirko and Ljubica up.
12:00 Noon - We drove to the location of the temporary ANM office. We had to park in a parking lot and walk up a hill with steps to the mission office building. Meet with President Kevin and Sister Dianna Field, Adriatic North Mission president couple at the mission office, Markovicev Try 3, Zagreb, Croatia. We met the two youngest sons, Parker age 21, and Warner age 20. Their other children are Ashton age 29 who lives in West Jordan and works for an I.T. company; Jadelyn age 27 who is an interior designer in SLC; and Payton age 25 lives in Orem and goes to UVU. Kevin's father, J.D. Field, who has passed away served in the military with Bob Johnson and was good friends for life. Their families are all close. Bob's son Bart Johnson married Robyn Lively, my niece. The families spend Christmas together in Midway and Heber each year. Kevin was born 27 Nov. 1967 and served a mission from 1987-1989 in Yugoslavia Mission. Two of the area he was assigned to serve was in were Serbia and Croatia. We had a nice visit and got to know them. They and their children are close friends with Bart, Robyn, Jason, Elain, and many of my family. I introduced them to Mirko and Ljubica and he interviewed and signed their temple recommend.
When we left Croatia we drove to Rijeka and on to spend the night at the Grand Hotel Adriatic in Opatija. We went grocery shopping for tomorrow's lunch. We ate dinner at about 7:30 PM at the Restoran Lungomare overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
