Prioritized Daily Task

7:30 AM - Breakfast at Grand Hotel Adriatic

10:25 AM - We were late for the church in Rijeka.  Mirko plants split as he was getting in the car and he went back to change.  We met the senior missionary couple, Elder Tracy and Siser Janet Barrus from Star, Idaho who has been out for less than 2 months.  We also met the Branch President, Ivan Hachis, and his wife Dajana Hachi, and their two young daughters.  The second half of our meetings was listening to the last part of one of the sessions of the 191st Semi-annual General Conference.  I took a picture of the group and the building built in 1896 with part of the original electric wiring located at Ulica. After church, we drove back to Opatija and up the mountain to Veprinac and to St. Marko.  Veprinac village was inside the village wall with St. Marko's Church.  The village was built over 500 years ago.  We took pictures of the towns and the Adriatic Sea.  On the way, we were on a narrow street we could not get through the street with city/church walls and low arches.  Our car was so wide and high to make the turns.  I had to back up and was so tight I had to fold our side mirrors in.                                     We drove back down to Opatija and toured the American Garden and walked along the sea, street of the stars (25 stars placed in the concrete sidewalk for famous people from the Balkans) and took pictures of the statue of a girl with sea-gulls on rocks at the edge of the sea.                        We came back to our hotel and ate dinner, the food we purchased yesterday, and found out it was a reason to celebrate.  Fifty-two years ago today Mirko and Ljubica went on their first date.  Ljubic never dated another boy other than Mirko.

We had prayer and talked to some of the children and sent them all emails and pictures.
