Prioritized Daily Task
Debbie Depart SLC 8:05 AM MST Delta 2659 arrive SAN 9:05 AM PSTI picked Debbie up, came home to Matthew and Melodie's. We gave Bella presents and at 12 noon we drove to the San Elijo Hills Ward. Brother Larson conducted the baptism service. When all the family arrived. Debbie put out the pillowcase for all the cousins and family to sign for Bella. Patt conducted the music, A Child's Prayer; Grace gave the opening prayer; Alex gave the talk on baptism; Matthew baptized Isabella Ann McAlpin; I gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and used the child's book The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket. There was one prop, a small stuffed lamb, named Lamie, she has slept with since she was a baby and still sleeps with every night. She will not go to sleep without Lamie. She does not want anyone to know this. I did not mention Lamie but talked about him so Bella was the only one who knew what I was talking about. After the talk I wrapped her in a small blanket. Later Debbie and I gave her the book, covers for her scriptures, neckless, and card. The stake primary present attended and Brother Larson spoke and welcomed Bella in the ward. We came back home, Matthew and Melodie had food catered for the occasion. Patt and Debbie gave Christmas, birthday, and baptism presents. I took Debbie to the airport to catch her flight that depart SAN 4:40 PM MST arrive SLC 7:36 PM MST. I came back home, parked, and went into the house next door which is the same layout and floor plan and Matthew's. I had talked to Beth on the way over. She told me she was saving the pecan pie. I went in the house and to the kitchen was a man eating what looked like a pie. The sun was shining through the window and I could only see his silhouette. I thought it was Brett, Rae Lynn's, husband. I asked him if there was any pecan pie left. He asked me, "What?" I said Brett did you save me any pie? He said who are you. I stepped around so the sun was not in my eyes and I could see the man was not Brett and the swimming pool in the back yard was in the wrong place. It did not take long to figure things out and he told me to tell Matt, he said "hi". When I got in, most of the family and all the children were in the hot tub and swimming pool except for Beth who was taking her turn getting a massage by a Russian lady masseur Matthew, hired to give massages to those attending Bella's baptism. Michael and I were the last to get messages.
